Web 2.0 is metacontent ...

... some weeks ago staring with "microcontent" i thought of "metacontent" (the term), googled for it and found a good, ratther old essay by R. Guha who had coined the term in the 90Ts. couldn't exactly make out what he really was doing then (heavy programming stuff) and just adapted the term. now i somehow found a very good short page on RSS history and the first line is ...

" * Dec 96: While at Apple, Ramanathan Guha proposes a (pre-XML) Project Sauce/X MCF format, "which stands for Meta Content Framework, is an open format for representing information about content." Dave Winer, of UserLand, is a (skeptical) early adopter."
