building Google University from scratch ...

... the ultraversity is here, or rather there. reminds of the project as defining a certain space/network of the Web as an university as i would like it to exist, centered around media, semiotics, (some) system theory, and, still not having a good word for it, something like humanities-informed computing-and-vice versa.

the Web (2.0) is the Delicious University (well, chances are that it will be called Google University ...). you can study with the best. take seminars from the most brilliant minds. participate in projects, discus with peers, build a repository. what you cannot read and discuss here, simply does not exist, except for some specialized historians i'm reall sympathizing with.
so it would be just about founding the university i want to have here, on the spot, from scratch. bypassing the petrified hearts of scientific communities and educational institutions. there is nothing to lose: universities now have nearly nothing to offer anymore, except meeting some intelligent people on the floors.

(note to self: thought of something like this back then, on Mediatope I, in German language.)
